[Calimex] All day breakfast Crispy bacon bowl

I love the breakfast bowls here so got the bacon one.

All day breakfast Crispy bacon bowl:

I love their bowls but the breakfast bowl is even better because it comes with fried egg or scrambled egg.
Since I have already tried the fried egg version, I got the scrambled egg which tastes really nice with the cheese.
For sauces, I tried the medium this time which is red in colour but not that spicy.
The bacon was good but not all of it was crispy and the rice was cold while the portion was small compared to other bowls that they serve for the same price.

[Sinmei Tea] Honeylicious afternoon tea

Tried Sinmei's new matcha afternoon tea.

There are scones, Lamingtons, yoyos and topped waffles served with jam, matcha ganache and my favourite magic green sauce that is found in the Hakka thunder tea.

All my favourite sweet treats with a strong matcha taste.

As well as the tea, they are serving Hibiscus tea, Yuzu Australian black tea and the Matcha latte with fresh honeycomb flown from Brisbane's Bee One Third while stocks last.

My favourite was the hibiscus tea because it tastes natural compared to other places and the Yuzu Australian black tea goes well with sweet honey too.
Here is the matcha latte with honey which looks delicious with that foam cap on top.

[Le Fournil] A nice bakery in Kowloon City

A breadwinner means a person who earns money to support the family which is similar to the ricebowl in Chinese which means income.
I like this place because their bread is a winner with a great smell and taste because they use French flour.

I was attracted to this place because of the Forever friends bear and the fact that they had a sweet potato flavoured macaron previously posted on their FB.

They are selling Forever Friends cookies and the British theme is my favourite because of the flavours, as well as cookie sets they have single flavours in store.Clearly, this is a popular bakery in Kowloon City because it was jam packed with people captivated by the pretty cakes.
There is a gelato cabinet with lots of captivating flavours such as Earl Grey, Pistachio, Fig, Balsamic, Basil etc.

I settled for some green tea cakes and some savory buns.
Although the cakes were good, I was impressed with the bakery because they were filled with lots of filling unlike other local brands and tasted superb as well.

Green tea with lychee:
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Green tea opera:
A deliciously layered cake that is not too sweet flavoured by the green tea chocolate on top.
★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆★☆
Mediterranean beef bun:

Again, this was crammed with so much beef and big cubes of beef which has a strong appetizing sundried tomato flavour.

[匯一小廚] Shanghainese grub in Sheung wan

At first I didn't know this place served Shanghainese food because the green characters looked Vietnamese style.

It didn't appeal to me at first because I didn't know they had rice dishes not shown on the menu outside.

Anyway, randomly tried this place because my friends were in the area and discovered they had other dishes as well as noodles.

One of the waitors was amusing because he yawns all the time loudly!
The place was a bit old and grubby.

Anyway the food was ok, you get soup and two bowls of rice.

The tofu was good even though it was the cheapest ingredient they had because the gravy was light but tasty.

The sweet and sour fish was a bit too sweet.

The noodles were disappointing because they looked delicious but it had a strong akaline taste and the salted meat came with cubes of fat which I threw away but the meat itself was nice and salty.

[Emack & Bolio's] How many scoops of icecream can you handle

A famous icecream connoisseur has hit HK and obvously popular with never ending queues day and night.

There are so many flavours of icecream and cones to choose from.

As well as icecream they have SWEET TREATS to satisfy chocolate cravings.

The record number of scoops is TEN but I decided to have THREE.

Top scoop: deep purple cow = blackberry, black and white chocolate
Middle scoop: Serious chocolate addition -  chocolate and chocolate sauce
Bottom scoop: Cake batter

Only took two photos because it was dripping and the strong forces of gravity were attacking it.
The icecream was sweet and thick with chunks of chocolate in it and gooey sweetness.

Anyway, I will be back again to try other flavours.

Chip In Fish & Chips Bistro (Kowloon City) - Back for pukka pies

I know I have commented on this place more than once but I dine here because they serve British food just like The Cabin.

You will only find me commenting more than once if it serves British food which is my comfort food.

Finally had the cheese and onion pukka pie because it was sold out last time.

The pie came with mash drizzled with Bisto gravy and spring onions, sweetcorn.

At first I was a bit annoyed with the ketchup but it turned out quite nice because they don't use Chinese ketchup which is sweet and weird.

Next the mash was good because it was bisto gravy and the spring onions gave it a nice grassy taste.

Last but not least was my delicious pie which I left last to eat because it is my favourite.
The pie was really crispy with molten cheesy filling with a hint of paprika.

Sadly this branched has closed but the branch in Sai Kung still remains.

[Grill ขุนทอง] Lan Kwai Fong is on fire

Discovered this shop in the summer and it visually made you feel like the street was on fire standing close to it because they have a digital burning fire on the LCD panel.

Decided to try it now because the weather was cooler.
I would have had the dry aged steak because I love dry aged meats but it was sold out.

Anyway, settled for skewers and tried the chicken, pork, squid, sausage and asparagus.
The sauces were a bit confusing just like silverthoughts said because for chicken and pork they are paired with satay sauce so you can't choose.
Most of the skewers I had were paired with satay sauce which gave it a nice peanut taste and the beef was most impressive because it was lean and tender.

For drinks I had the lime soda which tasted natrual and not sweetened.

This place is going to popular with partygoers and expats because it looks clean and simple.
They also have rice as well.
