Super Super Cold Air Conditioning @ Super Super Congee & Noodles

Overall the food here was reasonable and the set was really cheap for the late supper session.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Noodles with luncheon meat
The noodles tasted how it should and it was not greasy, however due to the super cold air conditioning the noodles were cold which made it less tasty.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Rice rolls with Chinese roast pork
These rice rolls were different from other rice rolls with pork, the usual ones have pork inside with the rice roll wrapped outside the pork.
The roast pork here was chopped up into tiny pieces and embedded in the rice roll.
Personally I liked the rolls here because the pork was distributed more evenly and there was lots of spring onions in it.

♡Did Chutney Mary go East from East London?♡

The name Chutney Mary just sounded so British for some reason so I made up my mind to go and try it.
I googled Chutney Mary and indeed there were lots of branches in UK, Australia, Singapore and the US.
However I was not sure if this branch is related to the other ones. Anyway got there and it was quite a small joint.

Ordered chicken tikka and lamb kebab
For both dishes the portion of rice was huge and unfinishable!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Chicken tikka with curry sauce and rice
The chicken was tender and the curry sauce that came with it was very spicy.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lamb seekb kebab with curry sauce and rice
The lamb was nicer than the chicken, the texture was strange like pate and velvety.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I wished I had looked at the other menu because there was more choice such as fish and vegetarian curries such as sag aloo and palak paneer.

New drink : Green forest @ 貢茶 Gong Cha

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Milk cap Green forest tea:
Tried this drink because it was new, but on the poster it does not really say what it is and when I asked the staff they said it was just tea so that was really helpful.
The original one is just jasmine tea with a layer of buttery milk cream on top, this one was visually green which matches its name green forest, but the tea was the same as the original one and it was jasmine.
As for the cream it was lime green and I couldnt taste any difference in it compared to the original one.

安記至尊鮑魚盆菜 On Kee abalone bowl feast

I was surprised to see this ready to eat festive snack because RED MORE was the only shop that did it.
Now it is interesting to see instant delicacies at the supermarket too!
This box of delicacies is produced by On Kee.
Priced at $650 (according to its website http://www.onkee.com/) it is more expensive than RED MORE which gives you fish maw, abalone and ducks feet.
Inside this box you get eight abalones, bamboo piths, dried scallops, shitaake mushrooms and some others according to some Chinese site.
Although I would not consider buying it, I am rather curious how it is packaged inside.
Quoted from some chinese website:
內含8隻鮑魚、竹笙、元貝、花菇等多種名貴食材,以上湯熬製而成,絕不添加任何防腐劑或人造色素,番熱後即可食用,豐富又健康。

Fresh Lemon chicken salad @ Original Taste Workshop

Although this is a product of Original Taste Workshop, it is sold exclusively at 7-eleven.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Fresh Lemon chicken salad:
This small packet of salad looked appetizing so decided to get it.
Basically it was julienne carrots, onions, cucumber, black and white sesame seeds and shredded chicken in lemon juice with some chinese White vinegar.
Overall it was nice and refreshing, I would have preferred the lemon to be stronger.

Oysters cooked in spring onions and garlic @ 名舫酒家

Only came here because the locals wanted some Chinese food.

I had no expectations for this place and did not know what to expect because I did not check any reviews before coming here.

Anyway ordered quite a lot of stuff because there were many people but I am only bothering to write a few because the rest were just typical Chinese food such as chicken and steamed fish.
The fish was nice but the oil ruined the natrual taste of the fish.
The vegetables had a choice of sauce so I chose prawn paste and the waitress said nobody has Chinese lettuce (yau muck choi) with prawn paste!
But if you have been to TAI O, they actually have a dish which is Chinese lettuce in Prawn paste sauce.

I also thought it was a bit stupid because if there is a choice for the sauce then you should be able to choose it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Oysters cooked in spring onions and garlic:
I have always wanted to try this dish but the places I went did not offer it.
The oysters tasted really nice and how I expected them to taste.
They were big and plump and did not shrivel up in the cooking.
Although these are not freshly shucked oysters they still had a fresh taste.
The spring onions and ginger were deep fried giving the oyster plenty of flavour, and the oysters were coated in corn flour and fried so the edges of the oyster was and nice and crispy due to the flour yet the inside was still soft.
The corn flour coating was really good because the thick sauce from the spring onion and ginger stuck to it giving the oyster a really good flavour.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Lobster with noodles in Cheese sauce:
The lobster actually had meat, which was good unlike other restaurants that cut it irregularly that there is no meat.
The dish was best eaten hot because after a while the cheese got sticky and tasted heavy.
Overall I quite liked it because the cheese sauce was generous and not too much milk was used it in.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chinese Tea:
The tea was mega strong, as you can see the teapot was filled nearly to the top with tea leaves.
